I've been working a bit on the planner. I've made a few improvements, and I'm getting more use out of it, but something has come up in the meantime.
In an article on planning using MS Outlook, I read how it was a good idea to keep everything in one place. All your to-do's, contacts, emails, notes, so on and so forth... we'll I'm running into that problem now, in that I have my written planner, which is good, but I also have Outlook. Now, while I've been handling things in the planner in a surprisingly efficient manner, my Outlook inbox and task list has gotten out of control again.
I think the answer is to get things into Outlook for the most part, print out the Outlook planning pages in a way that makes sense in the context of my current planner incarnation, and mark that up as I'm away from the laptop. When returning to the laptop, get things back into Outlook, and go from there.
Maybe it's finally time to honestly consider a palm device? I'm resistant. I don't want to be one of those guys who lives and dies by his hand-held. Ugh.
