TED is an abbreviation for Technology, Entertainment, Design. It showcases elements of each with expert speakers in their field. I recommend checking out Hans Rosling's talk on Gapminder, even if you're not interested in the field statistics. He's just fun to listen to.
Last night, I played Rives' talk for Karen. It's very short, but very cool. It's a poem he wrote about the Internet. It's around 4 minutes long, and worth every second. She suggested I link it, and so I am.
Check it out. Then, go subscribe to the podcast. It's worth the disk space.
I am the Emperor of Oranges. :-)
-D.
Update: 14:07 - I emailed Rives to ask him if It's cool if I transcribe it and put it on here. If so, I will. If not, he'll hopefully point us to a link. :-)

Thank you dear.
A transcript of that poem would be cool. Some knitbloggers post poems.
I need to blog on this.
