Three new pieces of hardware expected this month.
One, is a SQL server that should be arriving in a couple of weeks. This is a good thing as the production box is about maxed out, and the backup box/file server is filling up rapidly.
The other two are new computers for Karen and I. That's right, we finally bit the bullet and grabbed a couple new boxes from Dell. Now, I know I am risking my Geek Card by not building the boxes myself, or by buying custom rigs from Falcon Systems or Alienware or some such foolishness, but the truth remains that Dell supplies decent systems at a decent price. While I know that desktop support with Dell can sometimes be dodgy, even if it speaks English, their second tier support has yet to fail me. Good product, good service, and good price. You can't beat it with a stick. Two computers for well under $1000. I feel satisfied...
Anyway, I've gotten off track a bit with the SQL stuff. I should be finishing the final testing today. Truth be told, I haven't posted anything right away because it's all pretty run of the mill stuff. SELECT this FROM there WHERE these = those kind of stuff. Nothing too earth shattering. If I come up with anything funky today, I'll be sure to share.
Later.
-D.
