Where there's smoke...

We were having a conversation about musical terms at dinner this evening. PB&J often watches Disney's "Little Einstein's" videos which rely heavily on musical and classical artistic content. It's good, as far as what it does.

Anyway, I botched a translation while we were at it. I remembered it later. The translation in particular was "Allegro con Brio". It translates to "Moderately fast, with spirit". I had confused it with "Allegro con Fuoco", which is, "Moderately fast, with fire". A fiery spirit.

I told PB&J with a hushed voice, about 'Quickly, with fire!' I took a sip of Guinness. She grinned and responded, almost as an aside...

"That would be really smoky..."

I swear, I had to clamp my hand over my mouth to avoid spraying the table. I had a great laugh over that.

I don't brag a lot about her, but I have to admit, for three years old, subtle humor like that is impressive.

:-)

It was funny, but my first reaction was to your trying to keep the beer in your mouth. I did not hear PB&J's smoke comment until after you regained control.
